Magnesium Deficiency

Magnesium is a common nutrient deficiency.  One important function of magnesium is to help us cope with stress and to help muscles relax, but all of our cells body needs magnesium.  When we’re stressed, we may use higher than average levels of magnesium and need more.
When deficient in magnesium, calcium can become trapped in cells, allowing them to become slightly calcified and stiff.  Cells, tissues, and organs may experience small changes from a magnesium deficiency that may affect metabolism throughout the body.
